that Trainz is just great for modeling routes and layouts. I'm really enjoying making layouts. The tools are very easy to use...I'm digging through all of my Model Railroad magazines looking for layouts that I'd like to recreate...
Who knows, in the future, maybe we can have a module rule guide so people can hook-up their layouts to make a giant one - just like at model RR conventions...

Do you already have a copy of the software? I thought that it was not out yet?

Great :-)

Trainz will be flexible enough to allow you to model a lengthy route, or just a layout size pike if you so wish.

do you mean loop as in balloon loop or circular layour?
you can make reversing/balloon loops in msts as big as you want but they must converge back onto the main line
trainz would cure alot of headache with this
though a baloon loop is useless without a mine or port/unloader !
msts only has saw mil and a coal overhead loader, no mine, no unloader, no port.
msts look ridiclous on a loop where all grass and a small small overhead loader

I mean circular layout.
MSTS will not let You make for instance the Circle Line in London Underground.
In Denmark we have a similar layout in Copenhagen on the Surburban Electric Railway Network.

So far, nothing I've tried in regards to tracklaying has not worked. Loops, ovals, crossovers, 3 way switches, wye's...curved yards, curved switched, working turntables. I'm impressed...no Amazed with surveyor :)
