I myself am going to defect to trainz as soon as i get it. I am planning to start an online model railroad club. Mainly, we will have online "operating sessions" where as many of us as possible can operate trains on a giant layout. I am currently working on a websitefor this, and will be posting it shortly.

I don't think online playing mode is available in the first release.

nope it's not, You get the Viewer for locomotives, Route editor, and of course the Driver! The next module to come out will be Yardmaster, it adds animated loading and unloading of freight cars and will be based in RR yards, it will also be playable online. The release of this is not known as of yet, but it all looks great!!

Does that mean your BC Rail MSTS route is doomed? Or will you continue to work on it?

You're going to have a bit of a wait for the Trainz Online module (d'oh!!!), but its going to be good once it comes out :)

Well, yep. It was destroyed by that stupid MSTS editor, the track database was "LOST" so i scrapped it.

That's too bad, I was kind of looking forward to it.

I am thinking of making the BC Rail route for trainz though, it will be 100% to scale if i do, and it will look a lot better than MSTS because of the fact that you can paint the terrain and not just modify 100M X 100M at a time. If i do build it, it will be only from North Vancouver to Squamish, But i may make a second layout that can be "connected on" that goes to lilloet.

I already have the Grade Profile for the route so it will be quite easy!
