LAST EDITED ON Dec-05-01 AT 11:30AM (EST)[p]I am using MSTS and love this sim. I need some answers

1) This goes to the one who ALSO have used the MSTS. Are
Trainz that better than MSTS ? Is the graphic better? How
much space does it take? How many Route are avaible? Is
it possible to use dem data in Trainz? Be honest with me,
and answer with your hearth, not blindness.Ok? :)
Can you do "activities" like in MSTS ? How are the
cabviews comparing to MSTS ? Finaly, it is different
rules in different countrys on how to drive a train. How
does it function on trainz?

2) This is for everyone: I am living in Norway, can i order
trainz from Australia without any problems(thinking of
compatibility problems, etc) and will i receive trainz before
it is released in Europe? (January,February)How did you guys order it? How long took it until you received it after ordering?
How much did it cost to send?

If you have not already go to the AURAN site at http://www.auran.com and download the movies.

Trainz main goal is model railroding.
Trainz currently does not have activities.
Trainz graphics appear to be "impressionistic art." Not bad or good just depends on your preference.
The sound is better than MSTS.
No steam engines yet in Trainz.
Trainz main advantage is in route design that employs an very easy to use graphical user interface.
Implementing certain types of switches/turnouts is an issue in Trainz but AURAN is working the problem.
Trainz has better customer support.
YOU STILL NEED A POWERFUL MACHINE TO GET THE MOST OUT OF Trainz just like MSTS.

I do not have the software but I did order it.

Don't make it a major choice in your life. Buy both and enjoy the having two different styles of train simulators.

Thanks for your answer. I was reading on trainz pages, and
i did'nt find anything about activities. Thats very importing
for me. Whats the point then? Just driving?

Can you drop/pickup cars? What about the timetable?

Three layouts representing different regions of the world come with the first release. You build your own consists. You can have multiple trains running on the "layout" and you can switch between different trains. You can pick up and drop off cars. The to be released Yardmaster will allow control of animated objects and control of a timetable.
