Hello,
Another one of the old timers returns !!!
As Crotrains board has gone I'll repost the Japanese info I posted there on Friday. As below ......
I have found a very detailed Japanese route for downloading, It's of the JR Nanbu Line, in the Tokyo Metropolitan area. It includes many new structures including new platforms and also Japanese passengers in casual clothing !.
Unfortunately the archive compression used on these files are of the, "EXEpress" type, which are notorious for not extracting correctly on western systems, but there is a work around, details below.....
To get it, go to ......... http://tkajiwara.infoseek.livedoor.com/bve/bve2.html
And download the following 3 files
NanbuRoute.EXE
NanbuObject.EXE
NanbuSound.EXE
(total....4.25Mb)
then... 1- Start LH Melting and open the route.exe file, then change the name of the .csv file inside it
2- Click on the renamed file and then click, "process". In the drop down menu select, "extract" and extract the file (NOTE it will not extract by any other means).
3- extract the other files by double clicking on them.
To westernise the file the details are below.....
Route...... JR NANBU LINE (TOKYO)
Station Names (in order) are ...
Nakanoshima
Noborito
Shukugawara
Kuji
Tsudayama
Musashi-Mizonokuchi
Musashi-Shinjo
Mushshi-Nakahara
Musashi-Kosugi
Mukaigawara
Hirama
The correct trains to use on this route are the JR 201 and JR 205 EMUs
Enjoy the ride
JOHN
PS I hope this board re kindles the sprit of the old BVE and we get back to people helping eachother rather than slagging off
