Would there be a patch that perhaps could be installed that would allow the Control Panel (as shown above) to talk to BVE?

There is 'joy4bve' program somewhere...

Tim,
Try the winter daytime run, and watch the braking system at work as you slow for the TSR just past Hemel Hempstead.... use notch B4 and let the train take the strain :)

??? What's so special about brake notch 4? Usually, when I drive, I usually use the full brake notch(Or sometimes EB)to stop... and watch the Mr Angry go red... ;)

Phil,
Because it's a winter run! Use B8 and you will slide for ages, B4 allows the auto-system to deal with it.
Using EB to stop normally is NOT recommended, especially as it cancels any braking sounds/features.

What Auto-system? Well, in EB you can at least here the air sounds... ;) But why does EB cancel all the sounds anyway? Is it in real life trains there is no sounds when in EB? :+

Indeed there is..
http://joy4bve.sourceforge.net
It's a very nice little program, particularly the ability to control the RL/LP/SV brakes (the name escapes me at the moment) with the x-axis. Sadly, if you're using it with previous versions of BVE, it only lets you use SV1, but it's still fun nonetheless. If you do try it with the feature I've just alluded to, you must remember to put the brakes into the LP position before you start using the joystick, otherwise things go a bit pear-shaped!
All the best

All,
Just a re post:
Thought I would let you know I have been running BVE this end and quite enjoy it too!
I configured one of our X-Keys devices to run with BVE which is great for a quick drive session!
Anyway the main reason for the post is to let you know we are looking at BVE and would love to "Plug In" to this sim to enhance the simmers experience!
