Video Card for BVE

Does anyone know if BVE works with a 3dfx Voodoo2 card?

Yes, it works, but with some limitations about transparency in objects made using large textures at high colors.

I don't know if latest drivers can correct this, because my Voodoo2 went broken in summer 2001 and I replaced it with a Nvidia Geforce 256.

I keep getting the 'could not change to HAL' message, perhaps I will try some different drivers

Keep getting the same message despite changing the voodoo driver.

Anyone any ideas?

Try setting your desktop colours to 16-bit.
