View Full Version : Problem with sounds
Hello, i have a problem with the sounds. When you drive a train, BVE automaticaly changes the sound, it has a highter pitch etc. Now I would like to have the train always the same volume and pitch etc...
Can someone help me please?
Thank you

These are some aspects of the "poor" Bve simulator that are better then those of MSTS, why don't you want enjoy them?
Anyway you can do this deleting every runX.wav and motorX.wav sounds in the train's folder: then you will only hear the loop.wav sound, that doesn't change volume and pitch.

defeats the purpose of the simulation I think!?
I don't wont to go to MSTS, because it's to difficult for me. I would just like to ask a question. In reality it doesn't change, so if you answer me this way, well thank you very much. I already found a solution.

To alter the pitch and volume of the motor sounds, you have to edit the train itself. You can edit the train.dat in any text editor, but its probably better to use the train editor program.
You can get the English version of it here:
