Pretty diabolical and a waste of time to me. You are just downgrading yourself you know.

ZB, please delete that. That's going a little too far.

As you can see, I have deleted the "Map"

I was only relaying what a lot of us were probably thinking, but I agree it probably was going a bit too far.

Well... police state or not... and regardless of how funny :D that was, rather inappropriate for a public place, I am afraid. :(

Well if this kindergarten vibe carries on I will not be coming here anymore - I am sick of seeing loads of bullsh*t in the topic listing every time I log on.... this is supposed to be a discussion forum about Bve, not a "look at my latest post" spam-fest. Remember little Gareth (BVEGH)? He learnt a lot quicker than some people in here :(

Tim, it's time you loosened up and don't be afraid to call a spade a spade :P

Maybe anus should take all his proposals and plans to the general area, and leave this forum to those who know what they're on about!

Wulf_9 & ZB or whoever....

In my opinion it is a disgrace that you take it upon yourself to actively discourage BVE development. All these jibes towards Anas will get you nowhere and only serve to show how childish and short sighted you are.

Have you seen the screenshots of Anas' route on his website? They are nothing short of excellent if you take into consideration the amount of stick hes been taking from certain members of this board and his lack of experience at BVE coding.

Yes I can understand that people are getting a bit p*ssed off that Anas is taking up rather a lot of bandwith with his constant posting but lets not try to be too hard on him chaps, i'm sure he's learnt his lesson. And as for the jibe;

'maybe Anus should take his proposals and plans to the general area and leave this forum to the people who know what they are on about'

Im sorry but there is no excuse for such a comment on a BVE forum. Once again if you care to take a look at the screenshots on his site you will see that he indeed does know what he is doing.

Yeah well I've seen them.... so what? It doesn't take away from the loss of credibility that someone undergoes when they act in an immature manner, that pisses many people off and ultimately may be detrimental to the success of any work they do... the only princilple at stake here is domination of the discussion area, 45% of the posts in 24 hours is too much IMO, if you find that acceptable then I'm outta here.

Wulf_9,
Please let me and other users have their view. We are professionals not kids.

PS. More screenshots of the Adam Smith LUL fictional route avaliable now (The Woodford Branch). Both will be released possibly today or tomorrow.

Well that's your opinion Wulf_9. The very important reason I consistently post on this forum is because I am a really huge fan of BVE and it's development and I am an enthusiastic fan of it.

But do you know he is a troll? He has been banned from the LU & Rail Forums and I think Crotrainz too.

PS MY 2001 post!

I've seen the screen shots of the Adam Smith Line, and yeah, fair enough, they do look good. But so be it. That's the Adam Smith Line, not the 20-post-a-day Anasville Subway. Even if you just posted something along the lines of "I've started work, here is a screenshot" or something just to show that all of your incessant posting isn't in vain.

And, yeah, while I was poxed off that I felt that my freedom of speech (or drawing bum-shaped maps) was stiffled, I do realise that this is a public place, but if he hadn't filled 45% of the forum with crap, I wouldn't have done it.

I reiterate my plea for Anas to do some work. I am looking forward (believe it or not) to the Adam Smith line, I always look forward to new BVE add-ons with great anticipation, but Anas, PLEASE don't mention the Anasville Subway again until it is beyond the conceptual stage.

I actually think that once Routebuilder is released (yeah, boo and hiss all you want) I am going to produce the Anusville Subway lines as per my map.

And NOBODY here has any right to slag Wulf off, he has produced MANY fine add-ons for BVE. Which is FAR more than can be said for our friend Anus. :P

If this continues to go on, I'm not surprised if the BVE forum at Train-Sim.com would close...

STOP IT RIGHT NOW! :@

You lot are acting like children here. Stop it

And if I see my name being changed into an unacceptable way, I will get Nels (the moderator) in here.

I want you to read this. http://forums.flightsim.com/dcforum/DCForumID17/74.html#11

I don not think that those screenshots are excellent, if you want excllent quality route shots with ORIGINAL OBJECTS go to Anthony B's site, or just look at my work on the DLR.

Anas's route is objects tinkered with with, and it could be anyones.
Ok he is a beginer to say the least but do you seriously think that that is a GOOD quality route?

yes by all means start somewhere but lets not have this daily hype, I dont think you could relase that network so quickly! Look how long it takes us to make good routes. :)

I dont wish to discourage you or anyone else, by all means keep it up, start to make your own objects and your enthuiasm for BVE will lead you to do good things for the community.

I also condemn the name calling and play on his name, PEOPLE NAMES SHOULD BE RESPECTED, and NOT played on this is not a primary school playground. (and even then I would condemn it there!)

Until you have produced something substanial Anas, please lay off the hype, of route progress update, people are prepared to wait for good routes, I would much rather wait a year for something good than to download a shoddy botched route done in a day. :)

Please behave now, I like to discuss routes but do not like posting comments like this. I wish to think that we are all mature enough to have courtesy and manners.

Agreed!

I think it's time that the whole Anasville situation was put on ice. Let's just hope we've all learned from this chirade.

I did participate in the name calling and hullabaloo, but am willing to shut my wordhole, providing we don't get the board flooded with nonsense again.

It's nothing personal against Anas, if I started posting every 5 minutes and flooding the board, I'm sure I'd be the target of some flaming, name-calling and general slagging.

I think the moral here is -- if you've got something to say, make sure that it's worth saying before posting.

And again, this is no offence to Anas, but I don't think that posting your logo and then telling people that the logo is ready to download is very worthwhile. A shady manky old JPEG drawn in MS Paint is not a noteworthy download! Wait until you've got a screen shot or two of some original work, and then show it to us. Then you'll gain the respect that you ask for.

I admit, I have NEVER created a route in BVE. I am an experienced programmer, however, and understand the difficulties and complexity involved in coding anything half decent in any language. But - I know that if I "borrowed" somebody elses source code without permission, I'd be in violation of copyright, and it just wouldn't feel right. Anybody can take code, and comment their name in at the top of it. Doesn't make you a programmer. I expect the same applies with BVE route design.

So, the bottom line is, if you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen. If you can't do your own work - don't put your name to it. I'm sure that even my 2 week old newborn could change some BMPs and steal somebody elses route! :P :P

</rant> Let's all just simmer down and get back to posting newsworthy items and discussing BVE in a sensible manner.
