Traction engines, I've seen one of these for real, awesome machines and fun to watch in operaton. :)
Below is a rendering of one I built in 3D, note that it isn't completed yet though.

I've been in the engine room of a steamer, the engines are impressive and I even got to execute an engine order, woo! :7
Steam shovels are nice too, would be fun to have a Marion one with Catepillar tracks.
What of these have you seen or experienced?

Real Nice there. Too bad one cant run that in Train sim without running on the tracks. Front Wheels needs a steal band around them kinda a ridge. and The Rear Wheels eather need the Chevron Shaped Luggs or the A shaped lugs to give it traction. Very nice work though.
BTW that looks like A Case Machine. There logo at the time was a Bald Eagle perched on the earth. Also there is a show in Bird City Kansas that I have been to and have seen many of them in Operation.

I'll add those lugs, thanks for reminding me. I built it from a pic I found on the net so it "kinda" have a prototype. :)

I believe there are several traction engines on the UK train sim site, available for download. I think they can even be added to the car spawner. May go too fast tho.

Jonatan, Why don,t you put them on a flatcar, they would look great behind any steam loco. Happy Rails Patrick
