For my birthday (26th), I'm getting a LLP2K HO scale Berkshire......from Trainland in Long Island. We'll be going up there in two weeks to visit family, and of course, we always drive out to Lynbrook to shop around.

Anyways, I am having a hard time trying to decide which road name I want. The C&O has a real mean looking low-mount headlight which I adore, but I've had a real intreigue with the NKP #765 ever since I was little.

Either way, I'm looking forward to which ever road I buy.

Which one do you all think I should go with? -Jeffrey

Do you have a link to any pictures of the models?

Wow... I really need to ditch MSTS and get back into Model Railroading...

Yeah, well, there are two reasons for you!

I'm way more into modeling than train simming. Train sim is probably the least I do in terms of trains, the most being railfanning and modeling, along with photography, and drawing trains.

There is so much out there now, and since I take it you like NS, Bachmann recently did an outstanding J class and water tender, and Broadway Limited did a DCC/Sound equiped A class 1218. We even have another J from Broadway Limited comming, with DCC/Sound.

On a side note, in HO, the steam power being offered in plastic is really something else. It started when Bachmann Spectrum perfected HO scale steam with their 2-8-0 in 96, or 97.

Bachmann gets better with every release, Life Like Proto started doing steam, and as you can see, it's really something else, and then Broadway Limited Imports doing steam with sound. It's a good time be a steam-pheene!

I was hoping Life Like would do 759 with the barrel mars lite, so I could run it realistically with my 1970's WM diesel power (Ross Rowland, Reading Rambles, etc)-Jeffrey

That's a really tough decision I'd say go with the NKP.

There's a C&O berkshire just like that at the B&O RR museum. I'd go for that one. It'll go well with your other stuff that you have.

Yea, I actually do have an extensive collection of HO stuff.

I started a new layout around the same time that I got MSTS, and the layout took a back seat, because in MSTS I don't have to worry about space issues, I can model anything I want.

Now i'm more into scratchbuilding things, so I am slowly getting back into Model Railroading.
