Hi guys !
I am enjoying all these exchanges of suggestions, views and comments, learning a lot from many of them and hope that you find some of my contributions useful too. ;-)
Have a nice day !

Otto,
Your experience and comments are greatly appreciated. The one thing we have learned over the past five years is that it has been all of us putting our heads together to make this hobby what it has become. Every comment, suggestion, and opinion should be considered with respect--some may be better than others one day and just the opposite the next day. If any of us knew everything, Kuju would not be working on KRS--we would already have beaten them with our own software.

Yes, Bob, that's what I like most about our forums.
Guys never cease to come up with new ideas and improvements to and for MSTS, like recently George of MSTSBin rear cabs, Ian Macmillan with his frame rates saving low-poly rolling stock for loose consists and Paul Gausden's Google SketchUp plug-in, I can now spend days and weeks experimenting with, the latter a challenge for my old brain for some time to come ! ;-) I wonder how much more like it could and will be achieved ?
There also being many having problems with MSTS, there is always something for me to do, which could come to an end if KRS is near perfect ! :-(
Take care, O t t o.

You're an optimist Otto. I'm very much disappointed that in the advanced stage of development, they didn't published even one screenshot of the actual scenery. Interesting if the actual realise date will be in this year.
Cheers,
Adam

Yes, that I am after surviving WW-2 in Austria ! Got to be, looking at what goes on in the world today ! :-(
I hope that after initial program bugs have been taken care of, all new software having some, the functionality of it should leave little for us having to fix, KUJU by now being well aware of what was wrong with MSTS and is with other train sims.
I should imagine that the run-up to Christmas would be the best time for releasing KRS and would not be surprised for that to be the case.
We shall get to see actual samples of it when they are ready to show them, which I think will be nearer the time of the planned release and perhaps coincide with a major advertising campaign in the related media.
Would I let the cat out of the bag before then ? Not sure about that ! Lets whip up anticipation to fever pitch first ! ;-)

Otto,
I sure hope this Kuju forum section is intended as a help for Kuju and not just to whip up anticipation. I have seen many suggestions made for Kuju, but not one message saying we will consider the suggestions being made. It would be nice to know that we are doing something more than elevating the anticipation.
One thing I would like to see the new simulator do would be to create more than one directory for use with KRS. This way, one could have one route and have it set up for the steam era, one directory set up as the steam-diesel transition period, and one directory set up as the modern diesel era.
Engines and rolling stock could be assigned to those directories and not be a clutter to just one directory for everything. The user would be able to select which directory to use thus avoiding the loading into memory items not required for which ever era he/she wants to use.
What do you think of such a method for the diverse eras of railroading?

Yes Bob, that is what my MINI Routes do for MSTS also and would have been considered by MS with the MSTS-2 release, so they said in an e-mail to me.
KUJU have been made aware of this then and again later after KRS was announced.
No matter how they decide to have KRS installed there will be ways to do your own thing and have multiple installs as I am doing by changing the MSTS Registry entries to switch from one install to the other, MAIN MSTS, TML U-Bahn, Diesel and Electric routes, as well as using other MINI routes on various drives and in different directories.
The possibilities are endless ! ;-)
