I'm somewhat puzzled as to why there is not some response from Sabrina (having asked specific questions) to the very many responses made by members here: it's not as if folks are being unpleasant either.

Hi Mike !

The lady and her team are busy preparing for the LEIPZIG Games show taking place next week, after which we should get to know more about KRS from them, from the invited by them media and European forum members having a look and reporting back.

Planned to go myself, but the recent terrorists scare in the U.K. is making air travel difficult !

But surely in the last few months Sabrina could have found a moment to respond now and again: it gives us the impression of one of distance and of condescension.

Hi Otto,I understand there are some new fangled things called Eurostar,TGV and ICE which they claim are nearly as quick as air travel! They also have a lovely railway station in Leipzig!Seriously,Kuju started this forum,I think we are entitled to some feedback. Many people have taken time to give sensible and helpful views and observations and it would be nice to get some response.

Too stressful for an old guy like me traveling from Bristol, UK, Peter, the connections not being user friendly, my private jet having scheduled maintenance ! :-( ;-)

I seem to remember Sabrina saying somewhere that they'd rather get on with the job instead of getting involved in lengthy discussions in this, the UK-Trainsim and the The-Train.de forums, but are reading all the feedback and suggestions in them !

Will soon find out how many of them have been implemented ?

Otto is absolutely correct in this reply. If you look back at the original thread for this board, Sabrina clearly states that they will be viewing the boards but their participation will be minimal.

I still stand by statement: I don't like this "one-way" communication: she's also a Moderator too. Some of you guys have your tongues hanging out so much that it's "Oh thank you Sabrina this, and thank you Sabrina that." This is a Forum!, and I know that some of the guys have gone to some effort to make a contribution, but no "direct response" from this Mod.

For all I know "Sabrina" might be just a computer; however, it would be nice to know I don't stand alone on this.

As I have participated in and watched a few forums where the software developers are or are not present, and do or do not participate, it is clear that the little time that it would take for the software developers to respond to direct questions is directly ROI related...in other words, it's worth it. There will always be people who want "more," but hit-and-run announcements do not set well.

That has been my observation, your observations may differ.

Are they reading this stuff? Probably, will we see more interaction? Again probably when they get their UK sim out and start working on the US portion (or I hope they do to some extent). Remember that if their advertised delivery date is a possible attainable item, then they are far beyond many of the items discussed here. If they aren't then this sim is a loooooong way off on the horizon. I agree with the comment above in that the we will see how much they could, or did, or wanted to implement in the sim when it comes out. My hope is that the community will have a workable sim that can have mods made to it to add or repair any major deficencies we find. I'm realistically looking for a good and I mean good baseline sim that will lend itself to adaptation by the community. Remember MSTS is global and look at how each region has been able to make it look and work like the RW counterparts from their region. A successful new sim would be able to accomplish this feat as well. Again I say give us a really good baseline program and let the community hammer out the little details to fit their genre.

Hi All,

It’s probably worth mentioning that this forum, like the UKTrainsim forum, is only official to the extent where I have moderator privileges. I’m here as a guest of Nels to help support the forum which exists for the purpose of the community to discuss Rail Simulator.

We do try and answer what questions we can, but usually there just isn’t enough time in the day to get through all we would like. As you can probably guess, the development of Rail Simulator is a major task, and in addition to my other responsibilities relating to our website and other communication channels, I don’t get that much time to post on the forums.

However both I and members of the development team do read the forums, logging comments and suggestions, so they do get fed into the development process. We’re also taking notice for our next version as well!

For the more technical questions, I like to get answers confirmed by the team and they don’t always have the time to answer my questions – and in some cases we just aren’t ready to answer questions. We’ve taken the view that we will only comment on a feature or element of the simulation when we are confident that it is in its final form and will make it into the box.

The past few months have been particularly busy and espcially the last couple of weeks as we get ready for the Leipzig show – some of your questions will be answered by the articles and press releases coming out there, and after the show I hope to be able to be to answer a few questions on the forums.
