Which translated means:
Sven Schmidt, Product Manager of Electronic Arts adds: "Kuju will show in Leipzig that their Rail Simulator is not only suitable for the absolute Train Simulator fan, but will also appeal to all those who always wanted to drive a train."

Otto, we'll just have to wait and see how much of that statement is marketing and how much is a fair description. Absent an independent assessment, it makes no sense to take it today at face value.
BTW, what are the dates for the Leipzig show?

Hi Dave !
It's taking place 23rd to 27th of August, the 23rd for trade and the media only.
I know of 2 German train simmers who will attend it and no doubt report their impressions as soon as they are back home. There will be others to give us their views looking at KRS from all angles ! ;-)
KUJU might even release a video of what they have shown ?

That would be nice. Wikipedia says KRS is to be released this year, and the way I see it, the project should be far enough along to permit the release of some screen captures and brief movie clips. We got to see early hints of what TMTS could do even when the project was nowhere near being close to release date. There's really no way to see the accuracy of physics in the program with screen captures, but I think we can be treated to the eye candy aspects of what the sim can do. I myself am interested in how detailed we can make a route. Are there object placement count limitations before the sim gets all screwy? How realistically is water rendered (I'm hoping for TMTS level of realism here)? How well can the terrain be sculpted by track placement so that we don't have jagged berms and cuttings? What does the turntable and traverser cargo loading feature look like in action?

More from another EA Germany web page:
Graphics and detail stages of the play are completely new for this train simulation. The trains are reality-faithfully copied including individual fully functional instruments and driver controls. Rail simulator has also a comprehensive physics simulation as well as precise signaling devices on all routes.
One more week and we shall know the worst ! ;-)
