This KRS in-game scene from a web site I was made aware of over at UK-Trainsim:

Just look at those trees ! WOW !!!

The trackbed textures could show more scattered edges and the rail texturing could perhaps be more like this ? ;-)

Early days yet, I am sure !

Damn that looks pretty sharp!

Any idea when a Demo will be released to the public?

Any idea when a Demo will be released to the public?

No hint of it yet, the KRS team still trying to catch their breath after a hectic week showing it at the Leipzig Games exhibition !

News of one will be plastered all over the forums as soon as it appears ! ;-)

Otto
Your screenshot post is very MISLEADING
The second shot is from a TRAINZ work in progress
And I don’t think the first is any OFFICAL Kuju screenshot either

Your screenshot post is very MISLEADING. How ? The second shot is from a TRAINZ work in progress.

This switch I am showing there is one to be released soon with this lot:

And I don’t think the first is any OFFICIAL Kuju screenshot either.

Perhaps not, but where do you think they got these KRS in game scenes from ? Click on the empty thumbnail squares at the bottom of this page:

And that is clearly a Trainz site
Why would a modeler promote KRS or MSTS items on a Trainz site

I think you are missing my point, Geoff, which is that we too would like to see tracks of such quality in KRS and MSTS, the latter having the greatest variety of very realistic tracks and switches of all train sims.

These are just a few samples of Xtracks and their various textures.

I will have to agree with you there Otto
We must have that sort of quality for any train simulator to proceed

OTTODAD I still think your post is very misleading. Reading that post would make someone belive Railsimulator has turnouts with that style.

The trackbed textures could show more scattered edges and the rail texturing could perhaps be more like this ?

I can't really see what is misleading about this ?

Looking at what these KRS tracks and switches are like, I am comparing them with the new TRAINZ add-ons and MSTS Xtracks, saying rail texturing could perhaps be more like this !

Otto never said that the 2nd picture was from KRS, in fact he said that KRS should be more like whats in the picture. I have no idea what you're all "mis-led" about.

Otto, you did fail to mention that those were Trainz switches in your original post which could lead to confusion I suppose.

Hi Ray !

Sorry, I did not like to mention that word, some in our forums don't like to hear ! :7

There are other good tracks like those in BVE-4 !

Take care, O t t o.

If you took that green sided train out of that last screenshot it could pass as a real photo
That the sort of realism I hope we get with KRS
