Well, I guess I may have to eat about half my comments to TrainDude about what I cannot expect to have in a Sim! Anyone got some mustard?

Hi guys...
Interesting update ~ I still find it interesting that even their "production partners" make no mention of route material other than the Uk & German announced. Still no mention of US content. If indeed it is going to be 3rd party add on, how are people going to feel about having to purchase a product to be used purely as a base for future add-on content?
Still, looks like it is all coming together.
Cheers

Sabrina,
Two things.
1. The announcement by Phillips indicates nothing about an American route--only British and German. Is this an oversight? Kuju has a lot of potential buyers here in America. I know that Phillips is a British company, but it does not look good to leave the American prospect out of the announcement.
2. The KRS activity/scenario builder, does it leave option for switches/turn outs to be selected by the train driver? The announcement makes it sound as though everything is set up automatically when certain instructions are given. I hope that the ability to switch cars in yards and storage tracks and multiple spurs will be left to the decision making of the player rather than the computer. Some of the greatest fun is the challenge of how best to move the cars at a particular location--hopefully, that will not be determined by the computer.
A great danger I see with KRS is that it becomes so automated that it totally takes the individual out of the game play.

I think it looks good so far from what I've seen in the video, but I think the big question that alot of people are wondering about such as myself, Are ya'll gonna include rolling stock and routes from this side of the big pond because I think what ya'll do have is a winner but if it doesn't come with US or even Canadian rolling stock or at least a route from this side from the beginning or have the provisions to incorporate such stuff in it. Its probly gonna wind up collecting dust on someones shelf on this side.
So please can you shed some light on this issue because, Its like I said I do like what I've seen but, if it don't come with at least something from our side I'd probly would not purchase it I'd hate to say.

The word is they're doing an initial European release and some time later something for North America. Whether that something is just equipment or routes or routes + revised functionality hasn't been said, at least not to my knowledge.
