Truth is I'd be interested in most of these options at one time or another but if I have to choose, the access to a good forum usually means I'll get the other information at least as soon as with an e-mail.

Why should we have to register for the web site. Leave the registration for the forums and download area.

I think you should revamp this to allow for multiple preferences, perhaps with some way of ranking them.

Am I misreading this research or are you planning on abandoning the TrainSim.com forums?

Given a preference, I would not register for anything. Where necessary, I register to be able to post (such as the TrainSim.com forums) and to download free content. I don't like to receive marketing emails (fortunately, Thunderbird has great junk mail filters!) and usually won't sign up for any such emails.
