Does Kuju have a long term plan for KRS.
When KRS comes out it will repLace MTS. How ever a lot of people who have been let down by MS for not bringing out MTS 2 will be a bit hesitant in buying KRS if it is only a one off. What assurances can Kuju give the train sim community that they are in it for the long term.

To assist in answering that question I suggest you spend some time reading all the previous threads and replies, as well as following up on the posted links. Like anything, there are no guarantees, however at this stage it does not "appear" to be a "one off". If you read the forum and Kuju Sabrina's messages, you will get a better feel on the whole thing. As of this point though, all you can do is read the messages and info on this forum and the KRS web site and form your own assesments on the issue. It's certainly far too early to make any "set in stone" conclusions.

They have used the word "franchise" which usually means they want it to be a long term element of their business. I supose all games companies could say the smae thing about their own work.... Anyway, it suggests Kuju wants it to be around long enough to continue grow it. But obviously if it flops in the market all bets are off.

Hi
I cant understand why one would question Kuju staying power as it was Kuju who developed MSTS first up then it was Kuju who started to develop MSTS2 before MS pulled the plug, and now its Kuju developing KRS so I dont think that there long term plans can be questioned, only KRS failure will end any long term plans one would think.

WELL DONE PETER !!!
Couldn't have said it better myself. Thanks
Add to that what Kuju themselves have said in the latest News Update,
and I quote:
"Overall our goal is to ensure Rail Simulator remains a quality product for our customers over the coming years, that the community thrives with our support and that we can continue with further releases of Rail Simulator."
Looking forward to the release of KRS.
Cheers

MSTS was owned by Microsoft. Kuju was merely a subcontracted firm who helped produce the software. They could do nothing, but what Microsoft allowed them to do. Any blame for poor updates and a follow on MSTS-2 has to reside entirely with Microsoft. What Microsoft failed to do should not be a reflection upon Kuju.
