Otto,
One should always be careful about giving investment advice.
But now that the acquisition has been announced, let's consider what it might mean for Kuju. Certainly Kuju is not a cash cow to be milked. The reasons given for the acquisition make sense. One can hope, without any knowledge to back it up, that it will be beneficial to the future of Kuju and its products by enhancing their access to capital. In the recent past, Kuju management had taken some serious steps to keep control of their intellectual property while keeping the working cash up. I took it as a commentary on their evaluation of the potential of KRS.
If its a passive acquisition -- one that leaves current management in place -- improving access to capital would be one of the major ways that Catalis could enhance the value of Kuju. They don't claim to be experts in the gaming field. I work for a company that regularly engages in this kind of acquisition (though usually not of companies already public).
So I am not concerned about the future of KRS. In fact, this might improve its chances of existing as an ongoing product.
