On a record setting +43 degree day in Hamilton we skipped out on foaming and went model railroading for 7 hours before hitting the tracks at Dundas (MP 5 CN Dundas sub- see Niagara Corridor for MSTS)
-Sorry for the bad photos! Was cloudy most of the afternoon as violent storms approached, I thought 9647 was interesting and worth posting.

CN 382 following 434 rolls downgrade at Dundas with a neat trailing unit. Was doing a pan shot so my trailing unit shot sucks.

9647 has got to possess the ugliest paint scheme in the history of railroading. May God have mercy on the soul of whoever designed that thing...
43+C comes out to about 110 degrees Fahrenheit. I don't mind temps in the 105/41 range, but that is one hot bugger!

You guys can keep the 9647 up there in Canada. We don't want it scaring our kids!

lol, it's just like the red and yellow SP/SF units, the Kodachrome series. I actually like it and would love to have someone paint it up for MSTS. It's a rare locomotive considering there was only one painted in that scheme. BN Colors, plus a dash of red, in the SantaFe style paint scheme.

Hey Rob, what was the conductor on the 2532 doing to you. Looks like he was giving you the finger...you can see his arm up.

Hey Rory, it's hard to tell from the photo whats he's doin, so here is the brightened version. Only one conductor has ever given me the finger, but it wasn't this guy :)

And look what came back! BNSF 9647 leads CN 271 at Bayview while VIA 70 heads east on the north track.
