Just a few pictures to show you of my various sightings lately. These were taken with my gf's crappy digital. What I do like about it is the fast turn around time between shooting the picture, and it being on my computer. I have 2 veggie crispers full of Kodachrome in my downstairs fridge that still need developing.

Now, where are those tracks?

Are they back there somewhere? No.

Was there a track that was taken up? No.

Is it a railfan's driveway? No.

This was taken at a truck driver training course, and this hazard is part of the road test.

I haven't heard anything, but then again, I'm out of the loop entirely.

There have been some issues on the NEC (the Marc Penn line) with people taking pictures, and promptly getting reported.

Out on my sub, the former B&O's MET, I shoot the hell outta the MARC trains (www.youtube.com/user/gp30rdmt) for some video...

Between you, me, and the forum, these picture taking restrictions are disgraceful. Even without any new photos, you can find existing pictures, and drawings for just about anything in the world already.

In NYC, there are no photo taking pictures surrounding the larger bridges. WTF are we? Jeeze, I'd like to take some pretty pictures of the verrazano narrows bridge, but I guess I can't. What bs.

And to the MTA if they are trying to push photo bans on MARC;

F*** off if you have a problem with me taking interest in one of your tax-funded GP39H-2s.-Jeffrey

I agree woth you. It's like an article awhile ago in Trains magazine. I agree with the title 100%. "Is railfanning Becoming unAmerican"? Honestly, I've never gotten cmplaints from taking photos of the MBTA. Wouldn't you think they'd have a problem over railfanning/taking photos of a unit tankcar train. have you seen videos of when one tank car explodes? now imagine a whole train full of propane or some sort of deadly, exploadable gas or chemical. But these are my opinions. Also, MARC's had people arrested for taking photos of their trains, from a PUBLIC spot. MBTA's never had a problem with me taking photos of their equipment, hell I love the GP40LH-2s. Now don't take my word on that, I've only railfanned outside of the big citys it goes into. The only time I've been toled to leave was when I tried to get into one of Conrails yards in Mass. and that was before 9-11, so who knows how bad they are now.
