Would anyone be interested in doing an F3, GP7 and RS1 in the A&EC scheme. It was a eastern NC shortline running from Goldsboro to Morehead City over the NCRR which is now run by NS. There is an internet site with photos and history:
http://www.hosam.com/roads/aec.html
The RS1 was the Southern RS1 that was posted at this site earlier. The SOU unit was repainted from the A&EC unit.
Wish I could do it, but don't have the time or the software.
Thanks.

I'd do it but im not much on stripes...
I almost did the AC&W and the A&R the other day but stopped after getting fed up with the stripeing.

I have a F3 basic sceme ready, but I need some RGB values for the colors, as I haven't been able to locate some proper color photos.
I believe though, they used F2s ?

I believe if you go to the referenced site and match the road names on the colors from the color chart, and then go to Marc Nelson's color chart at 3dtrains with the roads and colors, you can come up with RGB values that are very close.

Well, Marc doesn't have CNW colors in the guide as far as I can see. I have been looking around, but it seems there is no set standard for CNW green. I'm not very good with colors, but this is what I have for now. I would really like some feed back on the colors, before I move on. I'm not finished with detailing, this is simply the basic layout.

I use these colours for CNW units - some colours presented are primarily used for weathering of the green, seen bottom right, the yellow to the right being stagecoach yellow, with Pantone 102C on the left.

That's pretty close. I've got a bottle of CNW dark green here next to me. You might want to lighten the green a little bit. Nest thing to do is check it against the a picture of the Diesels West C&NW Dash 9 unit at their site and compare because I think the lighting on my computer screen is not as bright as it should be (about time for a new one).

By the way, you're right on the F2's, my mistake. A&EC had 2 of them, 400 and 401 according to the AEC site roster.

After finding a B&W picture of #400, it looks as if your green color might be okay, at least very close judging by the shade of the color in that photo.

I went with the colors and finished some more details. I'll wrap it up tonight. Mayby you would take a look at it in the sim before I upload it.
