Okay Ladies and Gentlemen,
Any demand for one of these?

A massive, 135' Turntable, capable of handling your largest motive power. Anything from a small 0-6-0 to a massive 4-8-8-4 can be parked on this behemoth with a foot or two to spare.

Is it possible in MSTS to make the turntable spin? Always wondered this.

Unfortunately,
There isn't, but it can be placed as a static object making for that legendary "Perfect Shot."
Maybe the gentlemen working on the MSTS Bin project can find a way to do this though. With the developments they've made, they can only make the sim better.

If you used the invisible track piece that is with X tracks, then a person might could turn it into a level crossing object, when as you drove up to it, it would align for your path.
The gravwork.zip in the File Library did this for a gravel unloader.
Or you could use LOD to make it seem to spin, then as you got closer, it would align for your path.
Just some suggestions.

James,
Thanks for the Suggestions. I might be able to give this a try. I guess I'll have to download this file to see if it can be done as such. Once thing's for sure, there's plenty of room on this turntable.
The table length alone is 135'-0", with the pit walls a thickness of 4'-0" and a total depth of 8'-0".
How's the gravel unloader work anyway?
Thanks,

Ok,
Geat news... The turntable is pretty much finished. Just a few shots to round his out.
Some previews of it.
Looking from where one of the roundhouse stalls would be, An I1sa awaits turning by the Roundhouse hostler. The building nearly bending into the tender in that shot is the control house, where the turntables controls are housed. Notice the amount of open space remaining on that table, despite the sheer size of the decapod and its "coast to Coast" tender.

Another view, this time looking at the right side. Once again, notice the size comparison. For notes, the table length is 135' overall, not counting the pit walls.

Well, what do you guys think?

It's really just an animation. It's a level crossing object, so as you approach, and stop on it, there is a conveyor that begins under the track, and moves around between a few piles.
This is the jpeg from the Rick Lamp Gravwork.zip.

The second part of the conveyor moves, to distribute the gravel across several piles.
The concept that Mr. Lamp used is, at this point, more useful than his model, but, MSTS addons needed the pioneers.
It doesn't actually affect the freight car's at all.
