Ladies and Gentlemen,

Is there any demand for Repaints of FP7's for Ohio Central, PRR, Penn Central, Conrail, Amtrak, and a fictional Thomasville Railroad Post 1996 unit grouping, all with accurate details added as appropriate from collected photos?

Each unit would be available with Driveable, AI and AI reversed, and also with Ditch lighting added to excursion models.

I could make use of the PRR, PC, and CR units. Got any usage details for 'em?

A Conrail unit with ditch lights would be cool :)

Actually, Ohio Central had FP9s. I can get you photos of them. Sadly, they've been sold to CP in May.

Shawn,

Unfortunately, All I currently have shapes available for are FP7's along with standard F7's and even a B unit.

Most of these models are merely repaints of existing engines with Freightanim tag details added to them to make them more "appropriate" for each represented paint scheme.

Onto the business with the two Ohio Central Fs: are 6313 and 6307 still on OCRR Property, or were they sold off?

Canadian Pacific bought these two from OHCR on May 5, 2006. I don't know where they could be right this minute, but not on OC tracks, for sure.

Of course there's interest! I don't know of any freeware FP7 in existance at the moment. even if people want other paint schemes of them, repainting is much easier than rebuilding! Please, for all of our sake, release 'em if you've got 'em!

The only FP7's, which I am using, are Mr. Cowen's units with a few major details added for them to better represent what the real class 1's did to them.

Some of the units I have done include Ohio Central #6313 and 6307 ( Are these FP7's or F7's with alot of extra gear added? ) PRR in the 5 Strip Tuscan, Single Stripe DGLE, and later Simplified scheme, Penn Central in patch Jobs, and PC Black, and even Conrail Black and the later Blue scheme that was applied slightly before retirement of them. I may throw in a few bonuses.

Only exterior "extras" I can think of are ditch lights and a Graham White E-bell. If you need photos, let me know and I can supply some.

Mike,

Do you have any close-up's of the roof details? I was trying to figure out what the rear protruding item and also the details of the roofline.

I have the basic unit repainted, but now also have the freightanim tag under construction that will make it more closely resemble the real units ( I hope ).

Thanks in advance

I did a few Gifs of the FP9's. They are slightly longer than the FP7's and have various added items on the car body.

Not sure if gifs will help or not, but for good rosters of the roof do a search on Railpictures.net , along with RR picture archives.

Jason,

That'll help a little bit. Out of curiousity, what are the silver items protruding on the roof near the rear? Is that an exhaust related item or what? I noticed the same thing added to the restored Juniata Terminal E8's as well.

That is the exhust stack for the APU power system. Instead of the Steam genorator, the silver mufflers are part of a diesel powered system that provids electricity through out the train.

Here are some shots. It'll give you a general idea if you're looking at the units in Shape Viewer or a similar program. In the first shot, the little "pointy" thing above the OC Keystone is the electronic bell (Graham White E-bell).

Mike,

Thanks for the help. Since I was unable to find recordings of the E-Bell, I simply stuck with the original Bell sound

These units are configured for use with the Train Artisan F7's but for ease, I will set up release units for the same cabview used in the common E units. Sound wise, the same situation, but can be easily reset for any existing sounds.

IF alot of individuals have Gaeton Bellanger's E unit sounds and cabs, I can reset them for that just as easily.

I am hoping to release the current units as is sometime later this week with latest possibility being next week.

Units include:

PRR Tuscan ( 1 Player, 1 Forward AI, and 1 Reversed AI )
PRR DGLE ( 1 Player, 1 Forward AI, and 1 Reversed AI )
PC Restencil ( 1 Player, 1 Forward AI, and 1 Reversed AI )
PC Black ( 1 Player, 1 Forward AI, and 1 Reversed AI )
CR Black ( 1 Player, 1 Forward AI, and 1 Reversed AI )
CR Blue ( 1 Player, 1 Forward AI, and 1 Reversed AI )
OCRR FP9 ( 2 Player only, no AI's )

Keep an eye out for them coming soon.
