hello all. the other day I finally got a set of EMDs up here on a train. I'm a die-hard EMD fan, and love the sound of them. but anyway I really noticed something that MSTS locomotives don't have. When a set of EMDs are idiling away on some siding, or when their just coasting along, that constant, rapid, air releases. Does anyone have an idea where something like this might be available? below is a link of a recording that has what I mean. careful on the volume, the horn is REALLY loud. thanks

Sounds like an air dryer in need of repair soon.

I think Diesels West has such an effect on their trailing unit locos?

That's an air tank automatic water release valve thats set way too fast. They can adjust how frequantly they squirt out the water. I've run engines with both that type and the one that randomly every couple minutes will release a three second squirt of accumulated water from the air tank reservoirs.
