Ron Picardi has SRV_10M_WoodBridge and SRV_30M_WoodBridge. I just placed them next to the NG version so you could see.

Easy to string them together and rotate into place as a unit, or just copy and paste QDirection lines for them from the track piece.

charlie

Yea I tried that and attempting to lay them piece by piece on a 2% grade wants so easy...

was hoping that someone has a one piece bridge... i'd even settle for 50m sections...

Here's easy. Select the piece of track to which you want to align and right-click. Jot down the xyz coordinates and the tile-x and tile-z numbers. Search the world file having those tile-x and tile-z numbers for those exact xyz coordinates and file name.

TrackObj (
UiD ( 6 )
SectionIdx ( 39902 )
Elevation ( -0.010472 )
CollideFlags ( 551 )
FileName ( N1t60mStrt.s )
StaticFlags ( 00200180 )
Position ( -657.496 44.9815 -790.531 )
QDirection ( -0.00522545 0.0633254 -0.000331587 0.997979 )
VDbId ( 4294967294 )
StaticDetailLevel ( 0 )
)

Locate the bridge piece the same way; if you just placed it, it will be at the end of the world file. Copy and paste in the QDirection coords from the track piece.

Static (
UiD ( 32 )
FileName ( srv_50m_narrowwoodbridge.s )
Position ( -662.189 39.1752 -753.911 )
QDirection ( -0.00522545 0.0633254 -0.000331587 0.997979 )
VDbId ( 4294967295 )
)

The bridge is perfectly aligned and easy to slide in place (as long as you don't touch the rotate tool). If you do a Ctrl-C/Ctrl-V while the bridge is selected and the placement tool is active, you'll have another perfectly aligned bridge piece to move into place.

Once you've done this a couple of times, you might think it's much faster than firing up the "Rotate Tool". Also note that the NG trestle comes in 50M lengths (Neener, Neener, Neeeener! :)).

EDIT: When I said "Rotate Tool", I really meant the "Object Rotator" tool in the file library...

You could re-lay that track with 30m pieces, then the 30m trestle would be easier. After the trestle is finished, return it to the 100m pieces.

After reading this post I was pleased to discover that Mr. Picardi appears to have built a set of narrow gauge trestles. I’m in need of a few for a small project I’m doing.
After searching the file library I have been unable to find them. I would assume that they are part of a “mega-pack”.
If someone could point me in the right direction I would be most appreciative.
Thanks, Tom.

They were at one time, but they're not now. Since I have 37 "Picardi Bridge" zips, so it took me a while to determine where they came from.

They were in "CoalBunkerTrestles.zip" which I downloaded (along with "MeadowbankBridge.zip") on about 11/19/2004. I guess neither exists now. Ron's intended usage was "Assortment of wood viaducts custom designed for approaches for elevated coal bunkers"

In case Ron still has the zip, here's a memory jogger:

If not, Ron would likely give me permission to send it to you (306 KB). The ace file is SRV_WoodBridge.ace, and would be in one of Ron's texture zips.

They are still available. The Meadowbank one is a long shallow trestle. The coal loader is high poly but usable. Probably easier for you to just send him what he needs.

When doing sections, best to assemble using Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V to make alignment easier. Large selections are easier to rotate with the arrow keys and the end key to slow down as needed. Expect banking to occur with the Ctrl which can be countered with combos of arrow keys. Just have it saved in case you mess up as the reset rotation will explode all parts selected.

Long wood trestle in one and 2 track are in the SRVCCBAS.zip It is a shallow approach trestle to the old Cape Cod bridge.

Thanks for the help. Downloaded the file today during lunch and will open it up tonight and get to work. I'm sure it will save me hours of frustation argueing with TSM.
Thanks again, Tom.
