View Full Version : Turning an object for car spawner use

I tried using some horse carts (horse and wagon/horse and buggy) in car spawner, although I realize there are issues like no driver, and wheels and legs that don't move. Instead of moving down the road front first, they move sideways. Is there an easy way to change the orientation of the objects to correct this?

(Please excuse the incomplete terrain texturing and other detail.)

The easiest thing, on your part, would be to contact the model builder, and ask them to rotate the piece in the 3D modeling program, and re-export it. I haven't tried to hand edit a shape file to try to fix the orientation, but I find it a common pain for me, when I try to use other peoples shapes.

Occasionally, if the model is simple enough, I'll rebuild it myself, with the proper orientation, but the mules and buggys look too complicated to be worth it too me. I'll generally only attempt rebuilding if a shape is under 100 poly's, with a lot of obvious planes to it, i.e. a container, or a simple building.
