How do I simulate glowing lights such as fluorescent tubes in GMAX?

GMax isn't my strong suit, but if you're talking about modeling them, a simple cylinder properly colored/textured and set to full or half bright should do the trick. Now, if you want to simulate the diffuse lighting of fluorescent lights, that might be a little trickier, requiring a little texture manipulation. I guess it all depends on how accurate it needs to be.

On the "Conversion of Shapes and Textures" Word file, there is a list of material names to be assigned to textures. I tried "solidbright_1" but the light tubes aren't glowing bright white. The MSTS Game Pack uses its own material editor, not GMAX's. Any suggestions?

I think that I got it fixed. In the MSTS material editor, I have to set the lighting palette to OptFullBright.
