Below is a shot of when I tried to place an icicle object in front of a house in Sea View in Route editor. It's been awhile since I did alpha channels in TSM/MSTS. I used two single poly squares with reverse texture on the back, I wanted it to be able to be used on say power lines overhead in a city area. I made both sides alphhishine+, which ended up making the house vanish. What am I doing wrong? Besides everything?

Try the different settings on AlphaHiShine. There are display problems as you have found out with some modes. One of them will work and preserve the buildings but the trains won't display. Otherwise, Set the materials list to TransNorm or TransHiShine. Unlike windows, you don't have to see through the icicles.

Thanks! I tried it with the lights that I'm doing to hang on houses and signs:

I later went back and redid the colors to be brighter, as they were a bit dull in the screen shots.
