Hello all... I was wondering if there was anyone who would be willing to make, or perhaps show me how to make, two Conrail signs?
I am attaching pictures of the two types of signs I am interested in. The first is an Approach Block Limit sign. This is a hold over from the Pennsy era, and is placed in advance of a block station.
The next sign is also a Pennsy hold-over. This is the Block Limit sign. Anymore, these are found on mainly non-signalled routes like secondary lines and the Ft. Wayne Line.
From the Conrail rules placard of 1987:
Rule 295.
Name: Block Limit
Indication: Limit of the Block
Note: Yellow signal to be placed next to track.
Rule 295a.
Name: Approach Block Limit
Indication: Proceed prepared to stop at next Block Limit signal. Train exceeding Medium Speed must begin reduction to Medium Speed as soon as engine passes Approach Block Limit signal.
Note: Will not apply to trains authorized to pass the Block Limit signal.
The Block Limit signal would need to use graphic transfers similar to the milepost numbers on the Conrail Indy line, so if someone would be willing to give me a tutorial on that, that would be great. I would prefer if someone could show me how to make these signs, but if not, that's fine too!
Thanks,
Brad
