The .s file can't be edited, but you can get google sketchup
for free and use it with decapod's msts plugin to build your
own platform to use in the simulator.

Paul's plug-in for SketchUp will generate both s and sd files.

Vinu,

I think this is everything…

Start with your original flat person image (preferably a .bmp file)

Open image with TgaTool2 (as a .bmp)

In TgaTool2;
Select FILE
Load .bmp image to Main Page
Select FILE
Select ‘save as’… new window, enter filename, save as .TGA IMAGE
Save to temp folder

In TgaTool2;
At Main Page, From right column, select ‘Create Alpha Template’
New Window, select OK
At Main Page, Select IMAGE, select ‘Send Alpha Channel to Editor’
In Editor BLACK OUT image area not desired on end result
WHITE OUT image area desired on end result
Save, exit
Select EXPORT
Select ACE (Alpha) Not-TDX, new window, enter filename, save as ACE Texture File
Save to temp folder

Open SketchUp, create a single (2D) flat panel
Import created TGA image and paint 2D panel
Turn panel to other side and paint TGA image again on back side.
(if you want to be real critical reverse image on backside… that way a waved hand will be in the same place on both sides. Not that it really makes any difference).
Select SaveAs enter filename etc
Select Plug-in, select Train Simulator, select MS Train Sim Export (this routine creates S and SD files)
New windows, enter .S filename, select OK at .SD box. Wait for confirmations.

Place S, SD and Ace files into appropriate folders of route and create necessary .Ref file entries for Route Editor.
