Problem with GMOSS Springfield Switch

Hi Folks

My Christmas present to myself was to finally get a computer powerful enough to do justice to Paul Fowlers wonderful GM&OSS Springfield Switch Route. However, on running the route in explore mode, I have been getting error messages "error in loading popup widget file: popwid_s,dat(or popwid_l.dat) Game freezes up. All I know is these files reside in GUI folder-anyone know what these errors might mean?
Any assistance greatly appreciated.

That is strange :( I think popwid_l.dat is the dialog box used for saving and retrieving activities and popwid_s.dat is the quit dialog box. The files should be located in GUI\WIDGETS?
