New Zealand Route

I downloaded the "new" New Zealand Route last night. Nice route but it's a bear to download and I could only do it with WINRAR, then Route Riter indicated that it had to be compacted and asked if duplicate files were to be deleted. Like I said, I thought it was a bear to get up and running, anyone else had less of a workout downloading it?

IMHO it is worth downloading. The scenery is absolutely first rate and easy on computer resources. Unzips without a problem using WinZip 9.0 or equivalent and runs "straight out of the box". Just follow the simple installation instructions.

Downloading & unziping, using WinRAR, was a breeze. however I found one error in the rolling stock. In the NZR Main Trunk carrige set, the Wag file calls for: genpasswagmodernInt.sms
This sms. file is not in the Route Sound folder or the Main Sound folder of MSTS.
The only file I could locate was a similar file without the Int on the end.
Any help on this?

As one who has seen the prototype of the virtual model, all I can say is get it!!!

The Raurimu spiral is New Zealands version of the Tehachapi loop. All this takes place in a very back-country location, very scenic! Specificly for the Spiral, trains are being pulled by electric locos.

You must remember, even though the route is built in standard gauge in MSTS, in reality, New Zealand Rail runs on 1067 mm gauge!
