Would someone be kind of enough to tell me where to install the conrail indy files since there are no readmes on them. One of them has several files in it that go to different places and which one goes to the routes folder. Very confusing. Thanks in advance.

You could open another routefolder to see what files the folders contain. For instance: all .s and .sd files go to the Shapes folder. All .ace files go to Textures folder of Terrtex folder. Normally you get a route folder after unzipping the file.

I know where the texture, shapes, tiles and so on go. However in the conrail indy route in my opinion are to the point that a new comer would have no idea what to do. For instance in one of the zip files it has a consist, engine for the trainset, textures, shapes and etc. To me that is very very confusing. It also has zip files that you have to add to texures and etc. But what is the use in adding them when they already exsist in the route folder. I have tried time and time again in install this route and it never works. Being a former hoosier and living all my life along that line I would like to enjoy it. Thank you in advance for any insight to this problem.

I downloaded Conrail Indy 2 and didn't find more zip files in it. What route did you mean?

Rob,
There are not any zip files in there. But this is the problem that I am having. I am trying to figure out where the files need to go. The files that I have are ci20_1,ci20_2,ci20_3,ci20_4,ci20_5,& crind20a. When I install ci20_1 that is the route folder which adds all the files such as shapes textures and ect. The rest of the files are textures and tiles so why do I need them if the route already has them in it.

Aaah, I know what you mean. Those texture folders contain more different textures. The route is 4 years old; in those days there were not too many people with broadband internet. That's why they split up the files.

Rob,
I just tried to install the route again. When I started my sim it wasn't there . My other routes show up just not that one. I guess I will try it again. Don't know what else to do. If you figure it out let me as I will let you know if I do.

I just opened the zip file to see what was in it; I didn't try to run the route. Maybe it requires Xtracks. Does it have an install.bat to copy files from the default routes?
