i have recently downloaded and installed the atlanta and macon..i think its fantastic ....a lot of good mainline running or switching...i have encountered what i think is a bad track section which causes a derailment around mp 1009 heading into the passing track on the way to the c of g ft gillam yard...the locos get into the passing track ok but cars just behind loco allways derail ...is there a fix or a way to fix. thanks for the great!!!!!! route bob.

I agree - this is an excellent route that includes urban running as well as moving over open country. I, too, have had some derailment problems.
However, I have been able to run things more smoothly by running about 5 mph below the speed limit, especially around curves and through interlocking areas.

I dont get that problem. but i routinely beef up all my coupler settings on everything i install which cures most if not all of such probs. but i do think there is something odd about the mileposts that show up in the driver aids on the left on that route, the window shows what is happening up to 3 miles ahead, when a signal pops into view at the top it is always 3 miles away, but the mile markers are coming at about 5 miles to each 3 mile segment, so i wondered if they are either placed at 1 KM intervals or in the configuration files in KM, so you eat up the miles extremely quickly even at just 20MPH

i use double couplers and both have this in them
Break ( 1e10N 5e7N )
r0 ( 4cm 4cm )
never get any problems and the cars still move in relationship to eachother

I've been having the same problem at the same location. I've tried all the suggestions listed above, but I still can't get past that point. With the previous version of this route, I never had any problems here, and I was using the same consist then as I am now. Any suggestions?

try increasing the derail buffer force line in the eng file to read 800
DerailBufferForce ( 800kN )

I'm ALMOST certain that I ran past this spot without incident weeks ago. I only noticed the derailments after you guys started writing about them.
I can't move northbound past the gravel loaders near mm 1099, even at 4 mph. All cars and locos have Otto's "Bin" coupler settings, and all derail forces are at 800 or higher.
The specific spot is near the more northerly of the two front-end-loaders beside the gravel works spur.
I see nothing unusual in the track--it looks just fine. And I've come from the C of G yard connector track, where there are some VERY rough spots.
So, did I install a "patch" that fixed one thing but created this bug??

I'm convinced it's something with the track in this version of the route. I made several activities for the previous version, and always ran trains thru this siding with no problems at all. Now with this version, all the same trains are derailing at the same point. I've tried all the sugguestions listed above, but I STILL derail. I give up.
