I saw this at that other site. I had not noticed the wheelspin mentioned but otherwise this is a bug I have been bothered with. I have not been able to determin what triggers this but re-starting the game and continuing from a save does not seem to result in it happening in the same time and place. It seems to happen randomly and yet more often after having switched from one engine to another. This while running an openended activity where all engines entered as a player consist and doing my own firing. I'm now re-running the same with Automatic-Fireman on. I need to run much longer to compare.

"Hi Guys (and Girls),

A problem I've just noticed in MSTSbin V1.6.102213 (I think it's still the current version). My old J27 locos, as well as the new ones I am currently building (Shh, big secret!) start to wheelspin at the slightest bit of throttle, and in an instant, the boiler pressure drops to nearly zero, and the boiler water level drops to about -12%.

Uninstalling the patch removes this effect, but leaves me with creaky old MSTS v1.4, not what I'm after. I tried the same experiment with some of my other steam locos (The B17s for starters), and purposefully span the wheels in both V1.4 and V1.6.102213, to no detrimental effect.

What is even more confusifying is that everything was ok to a few days ago, which leads me to think something else may be afoot too. Any suggestions? Could anyone confirm this phenomenon on their computer? Please spare what little hair I have left!

-Chris"

Maybe now that they are talking about it over there it will get looked at.
