So there I was, switching out my rail welding facility. Conductor was walking up to the engines. Engineer decided to swap ends ( from CSX 9550 to CSX 3323 ). Yeah, conductor got left behind. As soon as the other cab loaded up, entire train was running 45mph.

45mph is what I had set as the initial speed for the service.

I think I saw mention of this phenomenom somewhere, but I wasn't able to find it.

I guess I should plan for that in advance.

Train didn't derail, as it was being pulled.

When I went to test it, and stopped on the mainline, and swapped ends, to see if it would push the train, the coupler snapped on the first car, and the train rolled away.

Very interesting.

You have to stop to be able to change cabs''as in real life ;-) !!!
You can also have many coaches with passenger views and flick between them using F9.. Coooool..!!!
MSTS BIN is gradually giving us the MSTS we deserve.
George (not me..) is doing all that on his own in his spare time.
That man deserves a medal..or a small 'contribution at least.!!

When in cabview of your player loco press F9, go to engine where there is the cab you want in, select it with mouse, then press 1 and the magics is done.

It just wont work..

1. May i install the new latest version of MSTS BIN??.
2. May i put trailin engine cab files into the leader cab folder??

I tried over and over.. i selected my helper engine and then pressed number 1 key and nothing happened.. just a blank message box.

If you copied the .dll's as mentioned in the documents, your message box would not be blank, and you would have a message about why you cannot switch cabs. Remember that you must be stopped with brakes applied when switching cabs, just like in the RW.

No, you only have to have correct cabview for either front and trailing engine, with correct entries in .eng files, etc. Just like if you want to drive both of them on their own. Then you have to stop, put throttle controller to ZERO and apply train brake, press F9 key and double-click the trailing loco. And also, you must have a BIN supporting it ... reinstall to the last version and try again ...
