I just installed BIN. Wow, I ran a 100 car manifest with highly detailed cars over Tehachapi with no lockups or problems. Lots of AI traffic and all of it with MLT Heritage SP engines--those have a ton of polys.

Frame rates were reasonable considering I had all sliders maxed, and all shadow boxes checked.

Now for the things that puzzle me (I tried doing some searches, but came up empty):

--When you press F5 3 times, you get some great data on the train but I can't figure out what the following lines mean:

Couplings 0000101010001000000 The ones and zeros change from time to time, but I don't know what it means.

Last Coupling 00000000000.4 Buffer 0000000000000.4

--Is there supposed to be an updated camcfg.dat file that comes with BIN? Mine is still the one I have always had. I was under the impression that there were some camera view changes with BIN.

Thanks all.

Hello Bryce,
The number 2 camera view now allows you to zoom away from the train a great distance. The number 4 camera view allows you to position the camera at just about any angle or position. You just use the standard arrow keys to move the camera around, give them a try, it's pretty neat :)

Take care,
Rich S.

...and the number 3 camera goes even further out then the 2 camera.
