Otto, do you klnow whether George plans to address the issue of having electrified and non electrified trackage in the same route in MSTSbin?

That can only be achieved by a total re-design, re-write and re-compile of the existing MSTS source code, he can not do and even if he could would render all existing routes unplayable ! :-(

Oh well....I'll have to look at some of the work arounds.

You could do what several others have done....Hide the wire for the whole route at 1000m. The problem arises when you need the wire over the electrified sections. I think some folks have gone for "fake" catenary, though I'm not sure how it was done. Any of the route builders that have traction and steam running side by side might have ideas.
