I'm a bit skeptical of Microsoft being able to live up to their promise to deliver MSTS-X. I mean after all they didn't deliver on MSTS 2, then we had Train Artisan failing to deliver their version of a train simulator. We also had the falling out of the Train Master, which was put on the back burner for the corporate version of the sim. So, I don't know about yall, but right now I'm kind of keeping my hopes down until I actually see MSTS-X on the shelf. What about you guys?

I'm not really worried about this one. This is not small companies trying to produce something huge. This is also not the same situation as MSTS2. ACES is working with code that they know, not trying to rescue Kuju code. The only thing that I see as a problem is the team getting worn down by people whining.

I think the fact that nobody that I know of has stopped creating things for MSTS-1 answers your question. I am proceeding as if I never heard the news until something hits the shelf.

Even then I am skeptical because:
1. It is probably going to require the use of Vista
2. Vista is the worst O/S to come out since (shudder) Win-ME.
3. I have 3 home computers, two running XP-Pro, and one XP-Home
4. Only one of my existing machines will even run Vista.

But, even so, Uncle Sam cooperated with the income tax, and the wife has made her major purchase of the year (fancy sewing machine) so next time it is my turn.
