I watched the videos, but the trackage was better than what would be found on some worse lines. Does the cab rock at all move when you go along, or is it still like in MSTS?

No head wobble here... sorry.
There is however a 3D cabview where you can look around and zoom the view.

That really is a shame too. I would buy a program specifically for that because it adds the whole dynamics of motion.

i think i disagree, the bad does rock back and forth which is pretty neat for an effect. i dont remember that in msts.

the cab well it rocks in a sence, its more like the track is waggling back and forth then the cab rocking to me and it gets annoying on the high speed lines when you are getting close to max speed.

Yes it would be very nice to have the point of view physics similar to msfsx.
You can almost fell yourself being pressed into the seat when you open the throttle.
This dynamic would add a lot to train sims.

The problem is with too much lateral movement and no vertical movement. If a locomotive ever hunted back and forth in real life like it does in KRS it would be bad ordered.
If we could get BVE’s cab motion into KRS we would have it made.

well it vibrates too, up and down, its very noticeable when sitting at a signal waiting... to me, i see a lot of motion in the cab.

Actually unless the prime mover is beat (with a crank shaft that feels like it’s out of balance) I never experienced that much vibration sitting still on a real locomotive. Other than vibrations coming from cab components at full throttle (the Dash 9’s desk top control stands rattle) , I have not experienced that much sitting still, nothing that could be realistically simulated anyway. Then again when you spend twelve hours a day in one these cabs you go numb to certain things.
Going over turnouts and cross-over’s at speed is a different story. Even some of the best track that I have taken a train over will give you some lateral and vertical motion over turnouts and cross-over’s’.

i think you are nitpicking, its a simulated environment. i think the vibrations are nice and seem real enough to me. ive been in the cabs more than a couple times too. i didnt mean it was jumping up and down, just that you can see that there is vibration.

LOL, I thought you were talking about the real thing not the game.
I don’t get any simulated vibrations with either of my two setups that I have KRS installed on. I get excessive lateral movement when in motion but no vibrations.
but no vibrations.
Change your batteries. ;)

Nice one Marc, I can think of a few good responses to that but I’d probably get banned from the site, LOL.

LOL i wonder if i could take a vid of it somehow... im pretty sure its doing it, unless someone is vibrating my laptop while im playing :)
