These drawings are of the US&S model R-2 vertical colorlight and H and H-2 searchlight signals commonly used on eastern railroads, like the Erie and the C&O.

The colorlight signals bear little resemblance to the signals on the RS US route or any currently being installed across the land.

I have models of all these signals for MSTS and easily can convert them to RS as soon as the veil of mystery lifts from the cumbersome RS signal scripts.

Regards
Hank

John Yelland over at UKTS is making some progress, you may like to drop him a line to pool your thoughts. Also at UKTS in the file library, look for file ID 17690 and 17957 which is an unofficial guide to RS signalling in two parts. One is colour light and one os the old machanical signalling. They are focused on UK practice (so 'points' equals 'switches') but it's a start.

You might also want to make contact with a guy over there with the handle of AndiS, who has probably made more progress than anyone in getting under the hood of the lua scripting.

Hope that helps

Paul

PS beware: RS have said that the bug that means that the signalling can't 'see' loose consists is fixed in the first patch, so I suspect that might mean the scripting is updated.

here are some plans for old PRR style signals, like on the NEC
