I for one, would like to see an F-9 or an F-7 model done. I have a soft spot in my heart for F-9's....the rounded looking cab is cool. Makes the engine look like it is smiling....know what I mean?

Speaking of rounded, good looking locos...
Anyone up for doing an Alco RS2/RS3???
Definitely one of my favorites!

Not to hijack the thread, but I've got an S4 in the works, and it'll get adapted into the S2 and RS1 in time. Sorry, but no Alco 244 roadswitchers just yet... All mine are Mac powered (err, sorry, bad joke! I'm really referring to Macintosh-Seymour prime movers.)

Yes Sir...I wanted to make a set of F units for 6 years now, and I've been working on them for KRS.
Here's a few screenies of the basic shape. I'm looking at F3 I&IIs, F7s and F9s. I'm still working on this unit, there's much to be done..especially with that 3D cab! Maybe someone would like to take a stab at a 3D cab for this, like in the KRS SD40-2?
I don't know how they will work yet, but they sure look good when I exported an F-3 in a shape file format for MSTS. Next, I'll try it in KRS format.

Beautiful! F units are ALWAYS welcome, and I can't wait to see how the GP35 turns out, too.
Maybe if you contact Marc Nelson, he might have some pointers on making a good F unit 3d cab. There was a very nice one included in the MSTS F unit V2 downloads from 3dtrains.

Running F- units on the Cajon would be excellent.

Still working on it here & there. I am currently working with repainting existing equipment to get a feel for how textures are worked in the game, while the bugs are being worked out on the eng files concerning what does what. & also trying to figure the 3-d cab out.

The 35 was part of a school project done in max9 while i was finishing college, The files i converted to 3ds are still on my computer. Now that college is over i still have the 3ds files but i have learned blender since i do not have access to max anymore. i am mostly wating on the mk2 update, learning blender & which files do what in RS. If you will look in the FL you will see a progression of the learning curve i have been on, file editing "my crane conversion", 3d importing into RS. "the new buildings, roadsigns etc" & textures 'the covered hopper repaints". I have also been watching the trials & tribulations of the F7 & GP38 projects so i could learn from them. Plus real life has thrown me some curves during this time. Like i said i do still have the files and am planning on finishing the unit when i think i am ready & can do a good job.

Just don't give up. I to am making locos for KRS and am looking forward to Mk 2 so keep at it, when you have the time, of course. Take care and have a great day.
