Export Terrain

Searched but cannnot find any discussion on this one. Doesn't appear to be in the videos either.

Anybody know what the "Export Terrain" function in the World Editor does (hotkey T)?

Also, is it possible to copy a selected piece of terrain, then paste it to another area? Trainz had this ability years ago. Helpful it was.

I think that is badly described. You need the DevTools I think, but the T key imports the terrain for the tiles you are over from the data in your .hgt files in the DEM\SRTM folder.

When you first set up a route it is all flat, and you have to move around it pressing T to make the hills appear.
