Railcoyote here, and I got a few ideas running around in my head that deal with the Cajon Pass Route, and in fact I lived in southern California Fairly near Cajon, so I thought up this idea for a Scenario:
Rock and Roll
A Seismic Event (basically an Earthquake) has caused a small landslide that has blocked both Tunnels 1 and 2 on the less steep grade (Cajon North), and all trains are forced onto the Cajon South Section. (Helper Movement has been added at Devore, so the player train has to stop and get the helper units to couple onto the train to help get it to Summit. At Summit the Helper Units will uncouple and park in the Summit 2 siding.
However there is a catch..
you have 45 minutes to get to Devore to get the helper units (which are coming down on another train. but if you miss your window of Opporitunity it will be another hour before you can move ahead..
The whole Object of the scenario is to time it right so that you can use those helpers to your advantage and get your train to Victoville.
But then you got oncoming traffic that could delay you..
(How's that for an idea?)
