hello everyone.
I have just gotten Rail Simulator recently and have been trying to learn all the tips and tricks. But there's one problem.
I don't know how to create a scenario in the default routes, nor do I know how to set up an AI.
I've read the manuals, watched the video tutorials (several times) but it just won't work for me. I even downloaded RSdevtools. But I can't place trains on the other routes. And all trains have to be player trains.
Can anyone help me? please?

They don't call Jim "Sniper' Ward the God Of Coconuts for nothing:

Yeah, the tute will give you the basic basics of creating a new free roam scenario, but "nor do I know how to set up an AI", doesn't cover that. Like Wayne said you'll probably need to look thru all them disconnected rambling mumbling PDF files eventually anyway, so you might as well download and sift thru the rubble, I DID get a few nuggets out of some of them. :confused: www.railsimulator.com is where you get the docs.
First step is place a standard scenario marker instead of a free roam scenario marker, then all trains are AI by default, you need to select one of them and click the box on to make it a player service. Next trick is to give them destinations, easiest way to do that;

Assemble the consist, attach the driver icon to it. Double click on the driver icon, move the cursor over to the right to pull out the right side flyout and pin it in place. Check that box on if you want to make it a player service, for this example we leave it unchecked so it's an AI traffic service. Hit the #9 key on the keyboard;

to bring up the 2D map. Right click and drag to move the map where you want, mouse scroll wheel to zoom in. Click the SET DESTINATION icon in the flyout, then click on the marker on the track you want to set for the destination.
It gets more complicated than that, STOP AT instructions to control the path (more or less) and starting times and adding trains to portals, but it's best to start with the basic basics and go from there.
