I can open and read the blueprint files in the Blueprint Editor if the files are in the "Source" folder and subfolders. Files in "Assets" folders and subfolders are converted so that I can't read them in Blueprint Editor. I tried to use RS Tools TMB to convert files but I got an error message when trying to read the files in Blueprint Editor. I want to learn how the UK passenger carriages/coaches and USA locomotives were made so that I can add passengers to my subway cars and add cab controls to the cabs. Any suggestions?

Files from an Assets folder when converted (to text) are not in Blueprint Editor format, so the Blueprint Editor will not read them and cannot use them as a source file. You can however read them in a plain text editor and then create a blueprint from the information found inside the converted file.

hi,
The method I have been using to read asset bin files is pretty simple ........ I use TMB progam to open a ******.bin file with " Files/Open RailSim File" then once its open I use the "Save .XML As " and save a copy of it someplace away from assets folder. Then I am right out of TMB and simply find the file and left mouse click on it and it opens up in my browser. Is a whole lot easier to read than in TMB (personal opinion) I can follow it through and find the bits that relate to everything I want to know for the blue print I am working on on the other screen. Having two screens on the one pc Works a treat for reading/studying and I am starting to make sense of whats what slowly. It is pretty easy to relate the xml file to a blueprint as all the "labels" used in the code relate to the "labels" in the blueprint and are easy to recognise. What it means and what it does.................. we are on this journey together so who knows :-)
