jpegs / notepad / archibald ???????

I downloaded and tried to use Archibald to view some s files the other day. Since then when I try to view any jpeg, from Winzip, it goes to notepad instead of the viewer. Did Archibald screw this up, or did something else? How can I fix this so my jpegs will be read to Fax and Picture ? Viewer? Viewing jpegs from other files seem to be OK. All help is appreciated.

Some programs, when installed, will set defaults without your permission. There are several AWFUL video players with snoopware galore that do this when you play commercial movie DVDs on your computer - some installing without your permission. Solution is to turn off Auto Detect and manually open them with your own video player software.

Using Explorer or other file handling software, find a jpg picture, right click on the icon, and select Properties. The Type of File will be the next line down and will display what program opens it.

If Type of File is displaying Notepad and Open With: is displaying Notepad, you will have to click on the Change button. That will bring up a window with recommend and other programs that you can select from to open the jpg with and set it to the default action for all jpg images if the check box below is set.
