I bet I have had more locked and deleted.

The English think they are invited everywhere. Then they see how many they can starve or kill.

I've heard rumours that you apparently weren't too keen on the Vikings either, but they just settled there anyway.

I'm sorry but what has this got to do with Rail Simulator?

People are people the world over no matter what country they come from.
Please take discussions about 'who's best' elsewhere.
It will come to no good and frankly comments like that are far worse and stupid than anything RavenX wrote.

Things are getting so bad in England these days that I'm thinking of applying for political asylum when Wales becomes independent.

Beautiful country, lots of narrow gauge railways, and a very nice place to be when it stops raining. There used to be a saying that there's nothing as funny as an angry Welshman, unless you're standing in front of him. I've always found Welsh people to be extremely friendly and very pleasant.

They certainly know how to promote their railways. I can't wait for the Welsh Highland and Festiniog link-up and, hopefully, a RailSim route to savour.

Regards,
Michael

Hi Mike

You might want to bring the French into this - wasn't it the Norman invaders who built their castles all over the Welsh Marches and into Wales? Who are the English?

Hey guys, watch what you say about NZ, my grandson is a Kiwi.
I am an old US football middle guard. Never tried Rugby? Kind of an irony, an old lineman doing physics. I still cycle about 10 miles a day. I can't find any teams that will let me line up and hit anyone anymore, just flag leagues. How is the cycling in Wales?

Yup lets include the lot and the romans.

Basically anyone from east of the river Severn, should be lined up against a wall and shot. :D

Either with longbow, crossbow, musket or cannon.

Whichever floats your boat. :D

Yeah right John, the nation that wants to de-power scrummaging, because they can't do it.

By championing new laws, that will ruin the game. ;)

Interesting point that.... NZ appears to look at what rules to change to suit their players in the current team at the time.

And also call for re-instatement of those that will have a negative impact on their opposing teams.

But the Springboks are very adaptable.... perhaps an Africa thing...

By the way, who here is up for the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup...?

Got a stadium for it, that I'm currently working on right now here in Durban, South Africa.

RavenX

PS: "Change the Rules to suit the Game"... can we apply that to RS?

French? I wonder which nation will be dragged in next. While the British were busy creating railways and inventing steam locomotion, the French were tramping over Europe, on foot and horse, with Napoleon.

If you're a Yorkshireman, I would have thought your ancestry would have more in common with Vikings than Normans. Then there were also the occasional raids by the Scots. Rape and pillage seemed to be a hobby in those days.

As far as the Welsh are concerned, I think there's still a byelaw at Chester that allows an Englishman to shoot (with a longbow) any Welshman found in the city after the 6pm curfew. As far as I know, nobody has tried to use that law in recent times as a defence against a murder charge.

Now we have RailSim where the naughtiest activity seems to be passengers jumping out of a guards van on the wrong side at stations, then clambering up the platform. A bit like football fans in the good old days of football specials! Brings back memories of Wolverhampton Wanderers fans at Stoke station in the 1960's.

I'm only a Yorkshireman by residence, so that doesn't count. I was born in London, and I have part French ancestry - Huguenots that fiirst moved to Holland, and then to the East End of London where they set up as organ builders. I'm pretty sure my wife has Viking blood - her mothers family came from North East England, with lots of red hair!

Mostly German here, with the rest French, Scot, and Norse. The French part of my dad's side of the family came from near Longeves and Benon France. Apparently they originally came in through Boston area, in late 1700s.

But red hair is native to the British Isles - apparently from the Celts. Scandinavian women tend to be blonde (me, I prefer brunettes tho).
