Anyone else having trouble with Adobe AcroReader 8.0? Anything I get in that format will lock it up in a few pages of scroll. Is there a setting I am missing for this program? Is this just software that hasn't adjusted to new OS or equipment or drivers? This is the only program that gives me any real grief consistantly.
Get rid of that bloated Adobe reader and try FoxIt Reader, and it's free too.

Bob,
The latest version is 8.1.2. I just installed it on two machines this past week and have not had any problems.

Hawk,
I'd second that. Unless you maybe want Adobe to create documents, Foxit should suit most casual users just fine--and faster too.
Adobe Reader doesn't create pdf's anyway. It just reads them.
Foxit has a paid version that will create pdf's so there's still no need for Adobe. :)

Bob,
My Computer is a Dell XPS Gen 2 with Windows XP 3.
3.20 GHZ. Pentium 4. 4 GB of RAM.
I have the above reader installed & also do not have any problems except that if the PDF file is large, you need to give just a few moments to load. Other than that, it works perfectly.

Yes, I got the Foxit reader, and it is night and day difference. Adobe would take several minutes to load a file that takes a couple of seconds on Foxit? Scrolling works perfectly now!
Thanks guys!!:)
