Hello guys. I just got my KRS yesterday and I added the PO&N route from the file library and it worked fine. But when I tried to add an scenerio to the Cajon Pass, everything disappeared except the route. How do I get the activities(scenerios) back? I have new to this and learning how to do this thing. I just found out that the controls on this is reversed from MSTS. I just want my Cajon Pass scenerios to come back and the one I added to show up. Any ideas?

Hi Scott !
First of all you need to get into the habit of creating BACK-UPs of what you have installed and is performing as it should. ;)
In the case of RS copying the entire Rail Simulator folder to somewhere else on your hard drive/s !
How did yo try to add a new scenario to the Cajon Pass ?
Created a new one with the scenario editor or some other way ?
Apart from having installed RS did you also install the MARK-1 update:
http://www.railsimulator.com/en/downloads
and the RsDevTools Installer from here ?
http://www.railsimulator.com/en/downloads/rail-simulator-content
You need to register in order to download anything !

Non standard install file.
If peopled used the official Packager then this would not happen.
I have used it to package scenarios and routes, without any problems.
I would suggest uninstalling and then starting again.
Mike.

No need for that.
Copy the attachment's unzipped Rail Simulator folder over yours and make sure that you are being asked for permission to overwrite the existing one ! ;)

I did the AssetSetup.exe and it would not install because I was missing the serz.exe from the Windows/System32 folder. I did not know about the Mk1 update and the RevTools either. Maybe now I got them and installed them, maybe now I can install scenerios without the ones already in there disappears on me.

Having installed them you should have the Serz.exe in the root of the Rail Simulator folder. If not then do a WIN Search for it and copy it into the Windows\System32 folder.
My ZIP will give you back the lost CAJON scenarios ! ;)

Thank you for the tips and thank you for the zip file. I also wish there was a way to play KRS without the CD being in the drive like you can with MSTS but I guess not.

There is a way, using "Virtual CD/DVD" drives.
Do a GOOGLE for "virtual CD drives".
I am using the German H+H Software GmbH payware one. ;)

Thanks guys for the No-CD Patches. I got both of them. I guess you need to install version 1.0 of the patch before you install version 1.1. By the way, I saw somewhere in this forum where you delete a Blue something .pak after you install an engine or car so that it will show up. They did not say where that file or files can be found to delete. I installed the NS ES40DC engine. I would like to use it but I need to delete the Blue paks wherever they can be found. Can somebody point me in the right direction for that?
Scott ;)

The files you wan't are Blueprints.* - you can download Bill's (timetraveler's) tools on this site and one of them does purely this, it deletes all Blueprints.pak. I think also Mike Simpsons tool's also do it, or you can do it yourself from Win Explorer.

I do it by starting a Search for Blueprints.pak in the Rail Simulator folder and then delete all the Blueprints.pak files the search found and lists in it's window. ;)
